In the season 10 finale we were introduced to Dr. Maggie Pierce. Dr. Pierce came to Sloan Grey Memorial not only to fill a position the position of Cardio Thoracic Surgeon left by Dr. Yang, but also in search of answers regarding her biological mother. Maggie, who's biological mother is Ellis Grey, seems to have been conceived during the affair that Dr. Ellis Grey was having with Dr. Richard Weber at the time. She without anyone knowing put this baby girl up for adoption & now she has come to Seattle for answers. Nothing really exciting to talk about, I fell asleep twice trying to get through the episode. The end of course left us hanging as Maggie revealed to Meredith who her mother is.
Scandal; Season 4 Episode 2
In the Season 3 finale, all ish hit the fan... All the twists and turns that we expect from a show named Scandal. The death of the First son Jerry, the murder of Harrison, and Olivia leaving the country and taking the sexy assassin Jake along for the ride. In the opener of the Season 4, Olivia and Jake are summoned back to the States with news of Harrison's death. She returns to find that all of her Gladiators have abandoned the ship. She get's everyone back together, with the exception of Abby who is now the press secretary at the White House, after Grant took the election with sympathy votes with the death of their son.
In this episode, Olivia and Jake are still trying to sort out the details of their relationship now that they are back in Washington. Everyone is walking on eggshells around the Olivia & Fitz affair, just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for them to pick right back up where they left off. Mely is still mourning the loss of their son & now the president is dealing with the backlash of media stating that her mental health is unstable in this next term of presidency. Cyrus is lonely and takes up the company of a male prostitute. All the makings of a season to be full of sex, controversy & of course scandal.
How to Get Away with Murder; Season 1 Episode 2
The newest series in the Shonda Rhimes line up definitely holds a candle too the rest of Thursday nights lineup. The series opener started off with all of the twists and turns that we would expect from it's title. The main character Annalise Keating, who is a fierce defense attorney & the professor at a law school, quickly recruits five of her students to work with her and take under her wing. The season opener begins and ends with these five students helping to cover up a murder, the murder of Annalise's husband. This episode takes through the back and forth on what led up to the cover up of this murder & also introduces a new case. A husband who is being tried for the brutal murder of his wife, these five students help Annalise prove his innocence. Annalise discovers that her philandering husband had a questionable relationship with a girls who was found dead on campus recently & is now questioning his innocence and involvement in the murder. I look forward to seeing this all play out and who & how it all plays out.
As expected the two returning shows have started off to a slow start, Shonda Rhimes is one smart cookie, she has given her new show all of the deep drama, controversy & cliffhangers to get her viewers hooked! I look forward to this weeks episodes as the plots thicken!
