Now on to the juicy stuff, SCANDAL!!! This weeks episode was great, all of the drama is really starting to unfold. The episode called "Like Father, Like Daughter" started off with Olivia receiving a late night call for help from no one other than Karen, the first daughter. Karen who is also dealing with the death of her brother last season, finds herself in the most compromising situation. Drunk & half naked she calls Olivia for help as she has locked herself in a bedroom at some college party. In true Olivia form she comes to the rescue, first super spy Huck shuts down all cell phone servers so that when recognized no photos could be leaked to social media, she then sneaks Karen out to the rooftop where a helicopter is waiting to whisk her away... But then the proverbial shit hits the fan, a sex tape is revealed, staring the first daughter!!! The episode just got GREAT... Here we see Olivia & her gladiators really back in action doing what they do best.
Huck and Quinn do their thing and track down the guy who made the film and Olivia pulls his parents into their office. Sure, they're ready to keep quiet about the teenager's sexcapade, but of course at a cost - 2.5 million dollars. Firstly, what idiots think that they will get away with trying to blackmail POTUS (President of the United States)???? IDIOTS... Olivia convinces Fitz to accept the deal, she cuts the check & these greed mongers have the nerve to up the price to $3 million and call Karen a "whore" and "slut"... BIG MISTAKE, HUGE MISTAKE. This is where the real Olivia Pope makes her season debut!! LOVE IT... Olivia rants about how these parents are "the worst kind of people because you are the kind of people who have everything and still want more." After threatening to plant evidence, falsify testimonies & crush every ounce of character they have left she continues, "I will destroy you because that is what I do and there is no in the entire world better at it than I am." KABOOM, she's back!!! The Olivia Pope that we all love has risen from her coma and this pair of idiots are now soiling their silk underwear! Problem averted...
There was a lot of inbetween going on's, Mellie finally coming out of her coma to be a mother to her daughter during this crisis; Fitz & Olivia finally facing each other alone and coming close too restarting their torrid love affair, until Olivia drops the bomb that her getaway was accompanied by Jake. Last but definitely not least Jake & Papa Popes race to kill each other off. The episode ends with Jake being totted off in cuffs by the secret service. Why?!?! Papa Pope is not trying to have him as his new son-in-law... Papa pope is trying to frame Jake with the death of Jerry (the first son) & Fitz's jealous rage is really clouding his judgement here. Will Olivia be able to get through to Fitz & save Jake's life?
We are gonna have to hold on to our seats & wait till next week to find out!!! Dundundundunnnnn....
